Moray Place is one of the most important elements of Edinburgh's World Heritage Site; the pristine neo-classical circus forming the culmination to Heriot Row and the western end of the New Town.
The geometry set up by the rotation around the circle extends
into the rear gardens and contrasts with the orthogonal setting-out
of the original New Town. The new garden room responds to this in
forming the transition space between the dark, enclosed interior
and the outside environment. The frameless glass walls and roof
are supported with glass beams.
